I participated as a judge in a sake competition held in Fukui Prefecture. 

This is a sake competition that only women are judges.

Do you know Fukui Prefecture?
Fukui Prefecture is located in the center of the Japanese archipelago and is famous for the many dinosaur fossils that have been found.  

In front of the Fukui station, there is a moving tyrannosaurus robot looks just like the real one!

A big hall in front of the station is the venue for the sake contest. During the judging, each contestant blind tastes more than 30 kinds of sake and scores them.
During the judging, the sake is tasted in the mouth, not swallowed. But after tasting so much sake in such a short time, I felt a little drunk. 

And it was difficult to evaluate all the delicious sakes.

Thanks to this judging session, I was able to get used to tasting without swallowing.
And above all, it is important how to express about character of each sake!
After the judging, there were many things I wished I had written better, and many things I will do better next time.
There were many things I regretted, but it was a day that I really learned a lot.
